UNM Introduction to Aikido
Instructors: Robert Thomas (Nidan) and Jennifer Miyashiro (Shodan)
Fees: $125, which includes a practice gi (aikido uniform)
Course content: A 6-week introduction to Shin-Budo Kai style aikido with emphasis on:
- Protecting yourself with proper falling and rolling techniques
- Executing fundamental aikido throws and pins
- Handling the Jo (wooden staff) and Bokken (wooden sword)
